I hope that they do set some of these in the 70's.
The Spectre short that they did a few years back was the best animated feature put out by DC. Set in the 70's with that great Fleisher and Aparo noir feel to it.

Marvel needs that major, menacing villain, and i think Kingpin could be it.
i think the Mandarin could have been that villan had they not done what they did. he was flat out ruthless and you felt the impact of that guy.
any rate not going off on that tangent as it has been beat into the ground.
