They make us keep stuff 7 years.
Plus, while they are Congressional and Justice Department investigation common damn sense would dictate that maybe they needed to hang onto those a little while longer.

Ours range from 7-15 years, with a few exceptions that we must hold onto forever. However, not everything we do is considered "official record" and needs not be maintained.
