Are they supposed to keep every hard drive, every hard record, every media storage device until the end of time?

I, for one, transfer important info from my old, obsolete hard drive, and transfer it to my new hard drive when I get a new computer. I then destroy the old hard drive and move on with my life.

Don't they use servers with back up servers for things like system wide emails and record keeping?

What do individual hard drives have to do with anything?

The appropriate disposal method for computers no longer used (specifally hard drives) is destruction...particularly those with sensitive information.

So basically they're not sayin', but they're just sayin'. Absolute garbage.

Stop reading partisan media. You're deliberately misinforming yourself for the joy of outrage.
