Fournette is a track star. With the gaping holes he'll see, its over before it begins.

He will be as exciting to watch as Mathieu was.

LF is gonna have some early "oh shite" moments before he hits
his stride. As in, SEC hits harder, runs faster, turns quicker, jumps higher than anything he's ever experienced. He will eventually become a great back for LSU, but not this year, especially with LSU's propensities to spread the wealth.

Hmmm let's see, if im an NFL team, do i want Jeremy Hill, who shredded the SEC, or LF who couldnt beat Rummel when it mattered

He scored 3 tds in that gm what else u want from him? And J Hill couldn't beat bama when it mattered according to your logic

He'll be great but he wont be a bust if he doesnt get heisman consideration. If that were the case Kevin Faulk and Jeremy Hill would be busts.

Faulk and Hill didn't have near the hype LF is getting, they proved it on the field before being called elite backs. We all know they were good coming in, but we also let them show it on the field before hoisting them on our shoulders.

Miles is smart. When he compared the kid to Jordan, it was calculated.

Magee and Collins say he's the best back they've seen.

Its been a few years since a kid tore up fall camp as a true freshman.

Mathieu.

Faulk didnt have anywhere near the exposure thats available today. 1997 tigerdroppings would have hailed him as the savior. Hill was coming off of a whole year off of football due to legal problems. Now with the amount of public forums fans have the ability to utilize, you notice hype for players more and more. As for LF, ever since 1/9 LSU fans have been looking for something special to look forward to, and Fournette is that guy.

Barring injury he'll be one the top 10 rb's to ever play at LSU and thats more than good enough.

You hope he's right about an absurd and completely unrealistic hypothetical?

completely unrealistic coming out of high school. This could actually happen as a junior though. He would have to be injury free and put up ridiculous numbers while also running in the 4.3s at 225+. If he could average a lot of receiving yardage too, it would also help.

I think Richardson fricked it up by being a complete bust though.

Side Note: i think Bayless is a fool and this was a dumbass thing to say.

Bayless does nothing more these days than make completely unprovable, outlandish comments to stir the pot. He doesn't truly believe 99% of what he says, it's all for shock value and intended to get a reaction for ratings. He rarely makes statements that can be definitively proved one way or the other so he can continue to spew whatever it is he's saying. LF would not have been drafted at all had he entered this year and neither would any other high school player ever

With all the hype there is no way he lives up to most of it. I mean seriously some of our fans need to get a grip. If doesn't win a Heisman, and break Herchel's records he'll be a bust.

lol. the only people saying that are the same idiots like you who keep bringing it up.

People are putting so much on this young man that if he isn't a heisman contender by his sophomore season, they will be calling him a bust.

you idiots are literally the only ones saying this.

He's just setting up the case that LSU wins on talent, in spite of Miles. Skip is just setting the stage for the slam. If Fournette has a bad year, Miles used him wrong.....Got to know the media....

This is a speculation. I don't remember Hill having any problems running through USCe TAMU and Bama in consecutive weeks behind a hugely inexperienced OL with zero passing threat.

I can't understand people saying this. He is a freshman and won't get the carries you think he will. As great as Hill was. He didn't really touch the ball till game 6 against S.Carolina. Miles will not start or let LF get that many carries in the 1st few weeks.

True. And I was surprised. After a year of no grown man football, I thought Hill would be spectacular 2/3 plays and a fumble concern. Glad I was wrong, dude carried the team in several games.

One thing about Hill, Magee too, they practiced HARD. That's always 1 of the two keys to getting time on the field with CLM. For RB's... ball security.

Its possible he ends the season with the most yards. We've seen it with others. Doesn't mean he will break records, but I just don't see a drop off at rb with our oline even with hill gone. Teams have stacked the box plenty and we still can run the ball and leornard will get his chance because we do spread the ball.
