I've never gotten why people do this for a recreational sport. It's like going out and hiring private basketball coach because your shot has been off your last few pick up games. It just seems dumb....but hey whatever

This may be the dumbest post ever. Is there handicaps in basketball? Do I get spotted points at certain times? If I suck can I compete with the best?
The answer to all is no.
Most tournaments have flights or handicaps that provide an equal playing field. That's why you get lessons. You can win tournaments shooting 100
