I got news for you.....accents are different from city to city, not parish to parish. Hard to explain the differences, but I can usually distinguish them

Both Baton Rouge and Lake Charles were not part of the Louisiana Purchase.

This. People in Gonzales don't sound like people from Donaldsonville, who don't sound like people from Lutcher, who don't sound like people from Kenner, who don't sound like people from New Orleans, who don't sound like people from Chalmette.

I group ceratin parishes together.

Northshore speaks their way

NOLA adjacent parishes have theirs.

River parishes have theirs

Lafouorche/Terrebonne have theirs


etc...
