A lot of good choices especially in DC itself. But a lot depends on where you are staying, what else you are doing, what kind of meal/experience you are looking for, etc.
Although the Clyde's suggestion is a pretty good one, and they have a couple of locations.
Capital City Brewery (on H Street I believe) is an option for brews.

Clyde's is good. Always consistent.
