HUMIDITY!!! I know it's a fact of life in our state, but it's just never something you really get used to. Especially today, after it's been raining so much, it's just so uncomfortable outside... yuck. Louisiana has the best food, people, culture, and history, but the weather sucks most of the year. That is all.

I have to agree...not too hot here in MS, but it is just clammy as hell...

fwiw, I never realized this until I lived out in colorado for a few years...came back to the south and have never gotten used to the humidity again...

HUMIDITY!!

I can always go inside and soak up the a/c when the humidity gets too bad, but I'd have to argue that having to pay $10k a year to send my kids to private school because the schools suck arse are higher on my list of things I hate about this state than the weather. And it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy knowing that I still have to pay taxes to support the crappy public schools that my kids don't even go to. And don't get me started on people that put tomatoes in jambalaya and gumbo!

Truthfully, lately I've been seeing Louisiana as this big kid in a giant playroom with all the toys a kid could ever ask for, but playing with only a few, and complaining about his plight in life.

In short, a state with an arse load of resources and very short sighted to ever capitalize on it's true potential it is more than capable of achieving if it could ever just pull it's head out of its own arse long enough to look around.
