Have Single six and Heritage. Single six is better quality but have not noticed a difference in accuracy. Have slain many a moccasin with both. I believe the tolerances are not as close on the heritage. It makes a heck of a fireball between the cylinder and barrel at dusk. If you're wanting a beater gun - go with heritage, if you want one to pass down to your son, grandson, great grandson - go with Ruger.

+N on the Heritage Rough Rider.
Solid little gun. Bought my dad the father's day special a few years ago for around $160.00. Fun to shoot and shoots straight. also came with a .22 mag cylinder.

Bump for King Ranch - the wife is interested in a heritage rough rider in .22 caliber as a starter gun. It will mainly be used for plinking and disposing of snakes.
This one has peaked her interest and I like the price point:
Heritage Manufacturing Rough Rider Combo Single Action Revolver .22 Caliber 4.75" Barrel 6 Rounds Camo Laminate Grips Simulated Case Hardened Finish RR22MCH4
Your thoughts, please.

quote:
I like how they don't put pictures of the left side of the gun because of the ugly arse safety lock hole
Notice how most of gun mags started doing this also since the lock was added.
