it's interesting that you put your faith in the government to determine if an american citizen should live or die.

Why should we allow that same government to decide whether somebody spends life in prison?

Your argument is stupid. It's a classic "Liberal/Statist" argument that, if we allow government to do anything, we should allow government to do everything.

It's a childish argument, but, then again, Liberalism is for those folks who are mentally very childish and/or stupid.

There are millions of Americans who are either stupid, childish, or afflicted with mental disorders, so, we have millions of Liberals.

I want FedGov to collect taxes in order to build roads to promote commerce. The LibIdiot's argument is that, since I want FedGov to do this, then, it's hypocrisy for me to be against FedGov telling me what kind of toilet I can own or telling me what kind of healthcare I can purchase.

Liberalism is childish and stupid.

Reward based on Need, vs. Merit. Equality vs. Inequality. Morality vs. (selfish) Darwinian Economics.

Of course, there are loveless individuals/groups who will take advantage and abuse the virtues of either the Socialist or Capitalist system. Even water takes the easiest path.

A person who spends their life in prison is not the same as a person put to death by the government. I'm sorry you can't understand that difference.

Also, I'm more of a libertarian than anything else, though I always vote Republican. You can assume that roughly half the country is "childish and/or stupid" and that you are the enlightened one if you wish. However, a lot can be gained by putting bias aside and actually considering the opinions of those you think you disagree with.
