The problem is, Key...that if the Senate flips and *Republicans* do what their base knows needs to be done (shrink Government programs, regulation, employment, etc., and get off QE)...then that is going to negatively affect people's lives....UNTIL the free market effects kick in. That won't bode will for anti-government (demagogic moniker) types in '16.
Bottom line...we need a really trustworthy and decent man. Carson may be viable. I suspect that the closer we get to the edge...the more that Religion will make a comeback. Remember the Sunday after 9-11. People always go to Faith...when the 'end' nears; because that is the ONLY option for any hope.

I am of the opinion that we missed a potentially golden opportunity with Romney.
I am not a huge fan of his ... but, I do think he would have done a good or at least pretty decent job. Just my opinion.

Totally agree, Navy. Of course, if he'd beat the MSM Progressive 'champion'...no telling what would have happened.
I hear talk he might be running again. But his time may have passed. Just somebody decent and common-sensical for a change.

You know..... the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result each time.
At what point do the blacks figure out that it has been insane to keep voting Dem, as the black family has just easily been destroyed by Democratic policy?

Not without offering more freebies that the white liberals do.

I've given up on trying to reason with Angry White Guys like yourself who refuse to accept that Black folks have enough intelligence to vote in their own self-interests.

Yes they do,, they vote for a President and Party who has caused Black unemployment of Black males 35 and under to reach modern times highs. So what does the white liberals have to offer that mean ole Whitemen don't. And how has voting for and following the party of Abortion, which a true Christian could never do worked out for black family units? Unfortunaty blacks can't see that the crumbs the white liberals make them beg for are the very crumbs that has enslaved them so they truly have gone from one plantion to another. Puppets to there white liberal puppetmasters. I know nothing I just said is true. Us mean ole white consevatives want to go back to 1960 and chain black folk up, just ask Joe Biden. It really is sad to see the degeneration of the black family. So keep voting for that Trackfan and blacks will be even worse off in 50 yrs. you may want to see how blacks faired under GWB compare to the President we have today.

No. Too many blacks on the government dole to convert to conservativism. No matter how good the GOP candidate and how bad the DNC candidate, a majority of blacks will always vote Democrat. No being racist, just being honest.

The exodus of blacks from the GOP can be traced much further back than Goldwater. Warren Harding's shitty response to the Mississippi flood really damaged the image, and then Roosevelt made them a part of his coalition.

All you've done is expose your ignorance. FYI, most Blacks are middle-class, while only a minority live on government assistance, but Black folks vote overwhelmingly Democrat across the socio-economic spectrum, as do Jews and Asians, two groups of people who on average, are better off economically than White Americans. I have about a dozen relatives and friends who are one percenters (high-six or seven-figure incomes), but all of them vote Democrat 90% of the time in statewide and federal elections (the percentage is much lower in local elections). Like me, they have all voted Republican on occasion, but the GOP just hasn't presented them with many opportunities to vote Republican over the last 50 years. Rand Paul provides us with one of those rare opportunities to vote Republican and I hope it happens more frequently in the future.
