That's what I figured. No link.

The fact that you were unaware of this goes a long way to explaining Angry White Guy syndrome.
It is simply a reflection of my life's experience. If you can provide evidence to the contrary, I'll accept it.

Were you also unaware of the fact that most of the folks on welfare are White?
No. I am fully aware of that. I also know that whites make up ~77% of the population, whereas blacks make up 13%. So it's no surprise.

Although, according to this summary of 2014 welfare statistics by demographic, blacks actually do make up a larger percentage of recipients: LINK /

Percentage of population-wise???

If you want statistics on which to base your bigotry, you at least should have to look them up yourself.

So if i find the link that Patrick Bateman put at the top of the page and it says blacks make up 39.8% of welfare recipients to 38.8% for whites, that makes me a bigot????? Facts are facts

Now, they aren't all like that, but if anyone can peel 15-20 percent of the educated/free thinking ones away, its Rand...

Of the 2016 potential candidates, Rand is the only one who has a shot at getting 15-20%. He is the only one actively going after the aa vote and not just putting lipstick on a pig. AA's seem interested in his economic freedom zone plan and his prison stance. I think he would pull the 15-20% if he is the nominee in 2016. That is enough to swing the swing states and for him to win.

hey have closed ears, and a hand out. It doesn't matter if Republican fight to free them of the Democratic shackles(like Lincoln), they will always be dependent on their slaves masters to provide for them.

True but the only way to open their eyes is to actually go in and speak to them. If you can convert just one or two ppl in the crowd that is a win compared to the last 2 GOP nominees. If the R's can ever get a consistent 25-30% of the AA vote the dems are fricked and they know it. That is why they throw out the civil rights comments at every corner.

en bloc? No.

Regardless, Rand's efforts are long overdue from a GOP stance.

What gets me is that some folks totally missed the point of the OP which is that when folks like Roland Martin, who someone correctly described as Al Sharpton lite, starts singing Paul's praises, you know he's making headway. Speaking of Al Sharpton, check out what he had to say about Paul just last week:

all he has to do is explain to the blacks how the Democrats have been duping them for so long. THat's sure to gain votes.

Well . . .

. . . . then again, perhaps that was explained long ago.

Not that surprising. If you show people that you respect them, they'll be willing to listen. Then you just have to highlight points of agreement and that will close the deal with some of the people in the audience.

On the other hand, if people think you hate them, they'll tune you out.

Precisely. Talking down to people or patronizing them is a terrible way to try to gain their support.

Also makes the people doing it look clueless.

Democrats have the same problem with me--they want to lecture me on how I'm too stupid to understand that they're standing up for my interests. I'm still trying to figure out how I, as an individual, benefit from having my insurance plan taken away and replaced with junk insurance with higher premiums. Or how I benefit from ethanol, which simply wastes already expensive gas (and as a bonus, is a major driver of the Gulf dead zone that harms the local economy).

Wrong.

I'm not standing up for your personal interests. Not at all! Where did you ever get that idea?
