No sports fans are as maniacal as the people who pack Southeastern Conference football stadiums on Saturdays. To call college football their religion may be generous to those who believe in a supreme being.
But not even Southern football fans are sure things to show up to games any more—and their increasingly unpredictable behavior has sent officials from SEC athletic departments searching for ways to win them back.

In May, a group from Florida's athletic department became one of hundreds of sports teams to visit Sporting Kansas City, the reigning MLS champion, and Sporting Innovations, the team's spinoff consulting firm focused on fan engagement and technology.

Pac-12 officials also took a trip to Kansas City. They were so impressed that they signed a deal with Sporting Innovations, which is quietly influencing the way college-football teams operate, to help them on fan-related issues. "They know what their soccer fans want," said Pac-12 chief marketing officer Danette Leighton.
This week at SEC Media Days—an event in Hoover, Ala., that unofficially kicked off the season—Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen said that SEC football nuts and European soccer buffs were kindred spirits. But college-football fans and MLS fans have a lot in common, too.

Face value of less than $80 for non-rivalry conference games would be a start. Restoring the quality of tailgating in some areas as well...
It's not rocket science.

"face value" dosen't mean anything since over 90% of tickets are sold as SEASON TICKETS and NOT at face value ! You're on the right track though i.e. LOWER the ticket costs, improve parking situation and tailgate opportunities, improve in stadium experience with FULL screen replays, show FULL screen hi-lites of other games throughout the game,no more FCS opponents, less WAY over-priced "neutral" site games etc, etc. etc.....it's NOT rocket science, the goose will soon stop laying all those golden eggs !

unfortunately there's nothing schools can do about the availability of big and cheap HD TVs that don't require you to be in the Louisiana sun for 4 hours.
But hey, let's just keep on expanding!!

Eight SEC schools averaged over 80,000 attendance last year. The lowest average percent capacity for SEC stadiums was Kentucky, at 88%. They're fine.
Now, getting fans to stay in those seats for four quarters is another matter.

If you want more kids in MLS stadiums let them scan there ticket to the game for like 3,000 FUT coins or free gold packs
I didn't read anything and thought you were talking about improving MLS attendance

paid attendance.
LSU's paid attendance for UF was 92,680. Actual? around 78K.
The paid attendance for Kent State was 89K. You really think there were 89K in Tiger Stadium at any point for the Kent State game?

Step 1. Get rid of 4.5 hour CBS NapaKnowHow commercial marathons.
In September.
In the South.

Well that's part of the problem. How much does the admin REALLY care about paid vs actual, if they're getting paid anyways. Sure, it looks bad to have a half empty stadium, but truthfully, that's just something people use as fodder on message boards. Not many people IRL really care that much.
