I'm pretty new to the board, so I just noticed how the top of the reply shows who you are responding to.

TigerLee

You said something in the realm of Welter winning a preseason award was something that angered me.
I'll say again, I have no problems with Welter other than his lack of production.

Simply because he is a Tiger, doesn't exempt him from srutiny and analysis.

It's like saying Jefferson was the best QB in LSU history, since he led us to the best season in LSU history (record wise, obviously no title).

Anyone with a working eye could spot that JJ was the glaring weakness on a great team. Despite the overall team success.

This is the position Welter is in my opinion.
I'll say again, I felt the same way about Barrow, only it's an irrelevant topic as he is no longer on the team.

In my opinion, Barrow was not an asset to our defense last year. He was an okay player, who made the tackles that you'd expect any LB to make, he never did anything to make saw, "Wow, Barrow is a Beast."

I want all of our players to do well, but that doesn't mean I blindly wish that they become standouts, after they start mulitple games, or even full seasons in which they show their mediocrity on the field.

Unbiased analysis has nothing to do with not supporting your team.
