$400 is very fair I think.

If you expect she is going to be taking over some of the house upkeep duties off your hands I'd say $300-$350. Also, if she wants to get tv she can and it might then only bring her up to what she is already paying. NEVER tell her the money is going to a ring anyway. Paints you into some contract corner.
