I have both too and the roku streaming stick is absolutely Awesome for the price! Only 15 more than chromecast and you get so many free channels with it.. And a remote. I highly recommend.. You can also get 3rd pArty apps from online for roku you just install from a computer to your account.

Another amazing thing you can do with roku or chromecast is get an app called plex media.. And you can stream all your downloaded movies or tv shows regardless of format from your computers hard drive wirelessly straight to your chromecast or roku. It cost like 5 a month but is well worth it! If you have the roku it will even play all your movies consecutively without having to keep hitting next.. Plex is truly amazing and well worth it
