Wow, that was pretty ballsy of him.
I don't disagree, but I'm not sure he's in the position to offer his sociological commentary.
By position, I mean literally his position. I don't often see news anchors offer their thoughts like that. Is that taboo, or something that they are given some freedom on?

True. But every other media talking head gives their own social commentary.
