Sounds like he might have enjoyed spending his golden years at Caddo lake instead of San Fran

Feel honored to have interviewed him 8 years ago. True legend.

met him at an LSU game a few years ago, I don't think he'd been back for a while, took time to talk with every one, and seemed to be genuinely humbled that people even knew who he was, nice man, very well spoken

His number should be retired at lsu

I've often wondered why he's not more honored at LSU. I mean, he really had an amazing career in the pros. Why not put more shine on him being a tiger?

Ought to have a statue of him outside the stadium. He's a legend.

I said earlier LSU has produced 2 of the all time NFL greats in Tittle and Steve van Buren and you would never even know it.

He actually doesn't hate it. He keeps copies and gives them out, autographed, frequently. I have two. One for the office and one at home. I didn't even ask for them. He insisted I have them.

Can you get me one?

they're reasonably priced on ebay. I have a 16x20 that I got in the $25-30 range. I also have a 16x20 thats the one on the cover of his book and I have one from when he was at LSU. They were both about $30.
