Interesting article y'all. Do any of you hiring managers administer this test? Think it's a useful tool?
I'm not a hiring manager, but we administer this test as part of Command and General Staff College - I think it is a useful tool in teaching our students about thinking.

"The characteristics measured by the test have almost no predictive power on how happy you'll be in a situation, how you'll perform at your job, or how happy you'll be in your marriage
I would definitely agree with that - doesn't make it invalid or worthless for specific purposes.
"Know yourself."

That quote is from someone. Who obviously doesn't understand the purpose of the Myers-Briggs. It isn't a "personality test". It is an inventory of personal preferences related to how someone interacts with their world.
It isn't meant to predict anything. It is meant to help people understand why they interact with other people or situations the way they do. The real value, into opinion is in doing team-building initiatives. When you understand where you and the other people on your team are coming from, it usually makes it easier to navigate the team-forming and building process.

Yeah I took it during Phase of ILE. Seemed pretty legit
