On a new car, absolutely yes... The kickback incentive is where its at. They could sell at invoice all day long and make money if they sell enough.


On a 20k used car, they are pricing it a lot more than a few hundred bucks.

Most of the time this is true, but myself and many other dealers decrease the price of a used vehicle as it ages. If it is 60+ days old most likely there is minimal profit in the price, if it's old enough we could have it priced at a loser.
