We have to remember that Dell is trying to squeeze every ounce of usable time out of Davis that he can, we don't know if he'll choose to stay in Nola

He chose to go with young players that had proven they deserved their contracts. name a championship winning team that had a rookie salary player starting. Dell didn't have the time to develop draft picks till they became those young vets we have now.

3 draft picks for asik and jrue is great by me.

Cap space isn't always about attracting a free agent. You can facilitate three-way deals w/ teams looking to do something else. Similar to how Portland got Lopez from us.

Also, you can take on bad contracts and get other assets from them. I'm sure Charlotte is happy they traded for Ben Gordon a couple years ago. They wound up getting the 9th pick in the draft out of it.
