Well if it goes to a vote, they will lose anyway. If there was truly that many people that wanted it then they would have gotten the signatures already

Well, that's only true of the people not signing will go out and vote against it.

Now thats just dumb. Do the math. A presidential election gets 50% voter turnout. St.George has gotten almost 25% of voters to sign a piece of paper. It wins easily on the ballot.

I suspect a lot of the people who signed initially are having second thoughts about it.
