Then they could have waived Casspi themselves, no?

Is his contract non-guaranteed?

SF is drying up fast, and we definitely need one.

Evan Turner will be out our price range.
Marion--too expensive? idk

Best of the rest:
Aminu, Wesley Johnson, Franciso Garcia, CDR, Darius Miller, World Peace

Maybe it's because of his twitter feud with Hoaward about what's going on between Israël and Palestine ??

Why would @PelicansNBA waive Casspi?
If they do Dell could have deal for major SF involving Gordon or Anderson
Can't think of another reason

4) This could be premature waving talk. Yesterday everyone said we were waving Gee when it was actually the team we flipped Gee to that would wave him.

So...could he be part of another trade? Maybe we maximized the value of the non-guaranteed contracts we sent by getting back one as well as Asik. This does leave us a little flexibility for another trade. Although, I don't think Casspi's contract is enough to get much back in return.

Just following up on my point #4 from the previous page of maybe we aren't waiving Casspi but flipping him to be waived, Rivers + Ajinca + Casspi for Wilson Chandler works. Rivers + Casspi for Dudley works too.

Someone ask Fletch if Gordon for Wiggins works in the trade machine.

Maybe he's changed his mind since, but hasn't Doc said before that he wouldn't want to coach Austin?

What a bunch of winners there.

Miller seems like an easy choice for one since he had a few games where things worked out for him last season.

CDR's stats with Charlotte last season weren't bad.

LINK

His stats showed him to be an efficient shooter and a pretty good defensive 3.

EDIT - He apparently hit the best percentage of 3s in his career at 38% last year. Sounds like the kind of 3 and D guy we are looking for.

He hasn't said he'd never do it, but he did make it sound like he'd prefer not to. We also found out that Rivers apparently has zero trade value around the league, but the trades I listed seem like the most logical moves if Casspi is being flipped again by us in a trade.

McNamara claims he can't be paired with other players in a trade for 2 months.

We were able to aggregate Gee because we traded him into cap space. If the Casspi trade was separate, and happened 1st into cap space, then maybe he can be aggregated like Gee was?

He can be shipped out as part of the same trade, it just has to be a trade that would be legal without him, such as two simultaneous trades.
