My buddy lives in a subdivision and we have lock on stands set up in his trees so that the shots are angled down toward the ground. It adds to the realism of the practics also.

Sounds like something my dad told me they did when they were young. They would shoot up in the air, and lay down to see how close they would land to you. I guess you needed a death thrill to get through the day in the depression era.

My boys do and once a D-loop popped loose! the arrow shot through the top of a nearby crepe myrtle cluster and boinged off into the neighbors yards somewhere. Yikes!

my 25lb pull indian bow would shoot an arrow damn near out of site.............I cant imagine how high it would go on a real bow.
