Let's just make him a better Dwight/Stoudemire.

False. Young will probably be better.

I guess he's somewhat similar to JOB but more athletic with better quickness.

JOB has a much more polished game though.

Easily. I was only speaking on his athleticism, specifically defensively. I'd argue Young is better defensively than JOB, and while JOB clearly has an edge on his offensive game, Young has better ability at hustle points.

What was somewhat shocking is how small is standing reach is, at just 8-7 1/2, one of smallest ever measured for any NBA big man. The closest physical comparison we could come up with in the NBA is that of Carl Landry, who measured 6-8 1/2 in shoes, 248 pounds, with a 6-11 wingspan and a 8-6 1/2 standing reach.

Also says he has really small hands, which limits his rebounding.

I am probably shortchanging him on his size, though. He just seems to play smaller, which is weird because he's jacked

I think you just came around when somebody started talking about an lsu player and it's funny. Young barely got any PT on Florida and it still confuses me.

Oh really? Guess you haven't been on the board much in last couple of seasons

FWIW Patric Young had 10pts and 6rebs playing against the 7th overall pick Julius Randle who had 10pts and 2rebs

Johnny was also the focal point of LSUs attack. Young was playing on a guard oriented team built to shoot the 3. Still never struck me as a guy to run your offense thru in the low post but his other attributes should help him carve out a role as a bench big if he can make it to camp

Reggie Evans could be a comparison. I know Evans is a rebounding machine, but a lot of that is simply hustle. Plenty of teams would love to have Reggie Evans for his energy. He rebounds, plays physical, uses his body well, and never complains. He knows his roll on the Team. Young has that ability.

Reggie Evans is the best comparison, even though Patric Young shows flashes of great footwork that could eventually develop into an above average post game
