Doing anything to a $60k vehicle that voids the warranty is stupid at minimum.
How much warranty does a 2011 have left? I'm not familiar with their schedules but seems like doing my own preventive work is smart, at best.
I mean I get that you know diesels and all but in the first post I discussed getting a 5th wheel camper. Who are you to judge how someone spends their money? Do you tell other men how to dress too?

I don't care how you spend your money. I won't loose a lick of sleep if you buy a 6.4 and juice it up without changing head studs and blow it to bits.
I'm just telling you it's not smart to do anything to a vehicle under warranty. I think the power train warranty is 6 years 100k miles on those. Somebody here knows for sure what it is. Warranty is Ford offering to fix your problems. Don't let them off the hook. You paid for that warranty.
As far as I know Ford got the 6.7 right. If it's out of warranty and the DPF plugs up then deleting might be a good option, but I'm not a fan of driving around a not street legal vehicle.

did find a 2011 6.7 with 50k for $44,000. It's a KR like the rest. Just the dealer really pissed me off.
How about a new KR for under 52K?
