How that game ended 0-0 I'll never know. We have two of the deadliest strikers in the world who couldn't have hit water on Sunday if they fell off a boat. Just one of those things.
If I had never heard of or seen Falcao before Sunday, I would think he was trash.

He played pretty terribly. Lost possession so many times and almost whiffed on his chances.

He definitely didn't play his best. Not making excuses for him, he was working hard but don't think he was fit enough after returning from injury to go back-to-back in 48 hours. Seemed heavy-legged from the start, and your CBs were making our strikers work so hard by playing a high line and denying direct service. Every time he received the ball he had someone in his back, and he was challenged firmly on every aerial ball. Your CBs were very good in the air. When he found openings, he was off-balance and couldn't sort his feet. I'm at least hoping some of his performance was down to fitness.
