re: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (Thoughts with Spoilers; Fricking fantastic)

Good movie.

It was like they included elements from Conquest of Planet of the Apes and even Beneath the Planet of the Apes (the bomb = C4).


Did they ever say Caesar's son's name? The old one and the young one? Is Blue Eyes his real name? Maybe the young one is Cornelius?

There has to be a Cornelius some time.

So I guess the next movie has to be related to Battle for the Planet of the Apes. Humans and apes living in harmony.

I wonder if they will tie in that lost space ship from the first movie, and when they are going to bring them back in the 3rd movie on this saga.


All I have to say is the apes have to progress a lot before they get to where they are supposed to be technologically. I think this movie was a set up for Blue Eyes being the new Caesar/lead or maybe even Caesar's youngest. The war will be long.



I also wanted to add that this movie felt like a good old-fashioned Cowboys vs Indians Western. I loved that element!


I thought the film would go in a few different directions than it did. I figured the guy that shot Ash would be sorry and apologize to Rocket. I also thought Rockey would take down Koba in the end. I really liked that Rocket, no matter what stuck with what Caesar would have wanted.
