This is the best part of the game, honestly. It could be a significantly less fun game and I'd still play it because of the humor and insane amounts of pop culture references/Easter eggs

I agree. The first borderlands was much more toned down and it was good but not nearly as good as 2.

Borderlands 2 is my most played game on steam, just got lost in all the DLC.
