It's been what 7 or so years now he's been out of the game? I thought for sure he woulda got back in a year or two after getting out. Man I miss him bitching at guys on the sideline

I kind of want him at NC State.

Not really. He's probably making top dollar at CBS with a quarter of the stress.

He makes great money doing something much less stressful and gets lots of free time. Why go back to working 100 hour weeks and sleeping at the office 5 times a week.

I think his wife's death really shook him up in terms of wanting to go back into it.

I can definitely see how someone would tire of the job. Even for guys who love the game as much as they do, working non-stop and obsessing over it year-round probably makes life on "the other side" pretty appealing, especially once you've accomplished everything that he has.

I am a bit.
Once his wife passed and his kids graduated, I thought he most certainly would.

I think he's been out too long at this point. I don't think he'd be a good hire.

When he retired I thought it was inevitable he would return, he was only 49.
Anything is possible, both Vermeil and Gibbs came back after long absences. I think he's done though, same with Gruden.
