did you read the TOS (Terms of Service prior to using Google Drive? Is the file you have there a violation of those Terms of Service?

I actually reread it this morning but I honestly can't tell how storing apk files violates it.

Eta does anyone else know? Maybe the issue is that XDA developers release free versions of apps to other members that cost money in the play store our maybe Google is worried that sharing apk files in general is a no no.

Just aggravating because I was only sharing these to avoid having to log into XDA on every phone I want to install them on and put up with the stupid 'wait 20 seconds for your download link' crap.

Sounds like just a blanket warning just to cover their arse. Did they say they would suspend your account unless you removed the files?

Honestly, what can you do? They give out a ton of free storage and the cost is that they get to poke around in it every once in a while.

I know that sounds apathetic an horrible but I'm finding it harder and harder for me to care about what google, MSFT and Apple see anymore.

Ah...that makes sense. I bet this is it.

I'm wondering if they would do anything at all. On one hand, they don't want you pirating apps, on the other hand, they don't want you to stop using google services.
