LOLing at the receivers running slants against loose coverage
I know. Kind of displays the silliness of these camps, but that's all you can really do.
I like the kids who run a 2 yard deep run, turn, and catch while the DBs are still 5 yards away.

It was a lot better at the UA thing last year.

Donte Jackson got a pick-6 on one of those hitch routes and Reid looked solid. I wonder, will LSU offer if he looks good at camp and ask Henry to play OLB.

Trent Irwin, nothing else

yeah, and it's really tough for a db to look good in these drills
those DB's had to defend the WR the whole time until the ball was thrown. In the real world four seconds is an eternity. They also have to read the run and cover that too in the real world. This drill did not tell much about the DB's. Some of these WR's ran all over the field to get open. In a game if you aint open in three seconds its over.

Tolliver was great position and extremely fluid in his hips. He's going to be a great one. Lewis did great. Pleasantly surprised with his physicality. Glad he chose to stay home. Reid did amazing and did anyone else see the poor performance from dillion???
Johnson was abusive. Coach Henry please call him today!!!! Coach frank, keep the pressure on him. Even with Malachi he will find the field often.

Are we in on Trent Irwin ?

Johnson's first route wasnt even fair haha. He is a lot better at setting up his routes than I thought he would be. Love his separation.
Lewis looks great with coverage and has a little bit of that TM7 attitude, which I like.
Kemah looked good at setting up his routes too and understands how to get separation, like Johnson.
Marshall was the best all around corner there. Great hips and instincts plus physical when necessary.
Dillon definitely needs work as a wideout. Did not get the separation I thought he would get.
Kirk is really stiff catching the ball. Not very natural hands in the video. To me, he would be better suited as a nickle back or coverage guy.
Broadus looked slow and lazy haha Too much of dads good stuff I guess.
Irwin is a gym rat. Real hard worker. Great intesity haha Any other The League references?
McFadden did not look great though not terrible. Was expecting a little better from him.
Reid ran well with wideouts and was physical. Like it.

Yeah, we're going to pull his offer if he doesn't bring it... No, I'm saying that if he wants to be the #1 player in the country he'll need to standout. Which is what he has said he wants to be multiple times. I'm not dogging him, just saying that if he wants to move up in the rankings to become the #1 player, he'll need to shine on the brightest of stages.
But after watching the video on my laptop, the play against Tyron Johnson was an incomplete pass.. Hopefully we will see more clips of him 1on1 and during 7on7s throughout the next couple of days.

iman marshall looked better than tolliver.... but id still take tolliver over him
Posted on 7/9/14 at 7:26 pm to robsinthaberto
Well we saw Marshall about 5-6 time during the field compared to Kevin's 2 reps when we know he had more than that.

You can tell this is a WR drill. All of the dbs seemed to struggle

He reminds me of Jalen Ramsey from FSU, but not as good in coverage. He could play a hybrid role for us like Ramsey does at FSU and be a stud, I think.

Most champions don't make a practice of taking plays off. Astute OC's pick up on tendencies and exploit them. Character is an inside, not situational, thing.

Yeah anyone who's played corner on any level knows how hard it is to cover an open field in these drills. Geared to the receiver 100% bc of the threat to run a route either direction with no other defenders present on the field. This means nothing and the ones tolliver got beat on the kid just ran a super shallow inside route that would get him eaten by linebackers.
