Pacific. I'd rather sweat my arse off and pop japs by the dozen than freeze my arse off while panzer divisions try to kill me.

Watch Chosin. You freeze in the Pacific too. Marines were outnumbered but Chinese soldiers were in bad shape weapons and clothes-wise. Great documentary.
The battle of Okinawa was hell to see what they did, too.
ETA: Chosin was after WW2 but we did go to war with North Korea not that long after.
