Spinoff from my plant thread.

My highest act score was 32 in reading but my English was abysmal.

I picked reading back up thinking that It would help better my writing/texting. Right now I'm reading the sun also rises by Ernest Hemingway

Anyone else struggle and want to better there writing ?

I don't think reading fiction or poetry really helps with grammar. It does help with writing in that it increases your lexicon and it shows different ways to communicate the same idea.

If you think a comma belongs in a sentence, add it.

I write fairly well, but I can't spell worth a damn and have to proofread very carefully. I credit my wondrous Louisiana public school edumacation.
