Back in college, I used to murder the woodies and gadwalls on Alligator Lake. It fed off of Wham and separated our land from Franklinton's club. I kept a sardine can full of 3" #2's that would make a magnet glow within 50' of it. My hunting buddies couldn't understand how I would go 30/30 during a quick morning shoot. I kept telling myself that the steel shot was wearing out the barrel on my Ithaca Model 37.

I just finished going through my safe, as the wife had me looking for a checkbook. I stumbled upon three cases of those rounds from back in the day. Those Yanks would cringe if they knew those details.
