I'd imagine the guys who catch them without being registered feel the exact same way...
The way I look at it is we typically have thousands of dollars in gear, boats, etc. What's $50 going to hurt? Your chances are certainly decent, or atleast better than playing the lottery, if you actually get out on the water and fish. Most of us piss away $50 on alot of other dumb shite anyway.
