I was thinking of taking the loan instead of using some of my savings. Ive never owned a boat personally but have many friends that do so Im fully aware of the maintenance and whatnot that comes with owning one. I have to start somewhere and this particular boat retains its value very well from the research I have been doing lately. I do work on the side of my normal job so having a little extra money usually isn't an issue for repairs and such.

So why would you ever want to buy a boat?

Thats as good as having a next door neighbor with a pool.
