re: The 90's: The Last Great Decade?

90s movies had better special effects but although the decade had plenty of good movies it wasn't any better than the 80s overall. In certain areas 90s movies were better (particularly political thrillers), but the 80s had iconic sequels that were better (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Beverly Hills Cop, all the great horror sequels, etc.)

As for music and pop culture, the 90s was decent the first half of the decade but rapidly worsened throughout the decade. The series itself is very weak so far compared to the 80s series. They spent time on Friends but no mention of the greatest sitcom of the 90s and maybe all time (Seinfeld)?
