I saw that this was on last night and couldn't believe network TV aired it. Her shows are notoriously freakish and sexual, which is fine and whatever, but I am surprised that NBC thought it'd be a good idea. I bet lots of parents are pissed after last night.

Also, put me in the "Miley can actually sing really well" camp...and I also think she's pretty cute most of the time. It's just that she tries so hard to be "edgy" or whatever that she ends up coming off as just weird instead of sexy or talented. But she does have a great singing voice when she wants to.

This is always my go-to clip for proof of that: Her covering an old Dylan song.

I don't watch her or listen to music but I did see commercials while watching dateline. She is the most contrived hack of a performer I can't believe how anyone falls for this crap. Blatant ripoff of what Madonna did 30 years ago only Madonna could sing and had her own original style. Madonna had songs that still have staying power. This piece of trash is a Nashville contrived POS.

Yeah that's what I kept saying when the country was flipping out on how whorish and trashy and "edgy" Miley Cyrus got a year or so ago. I was like this is literally the exact same shite that Madonna did, then Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera after that. It's all part of the pop music machine that generates millions for Miley Cyrus and her handlers.

ETA: And it works.
