But we don't have a base there, we've never had a base there and they will never give us a base. Furthermore, we have bases in Turkey, our NATO ally, and some of the Gulf states that we've used to launch wars, so why do we need a base in Israel anyway?

I would trust the Turks about as much as I trust the accuracy of my piss in a breeze. Istanbul would not go along with what I would have planned for Middle East.
