I adopted a Border Collie/ Australian Shep mix from Hammond pound the year after college.
I'm glad I waited until I got a yard for her to play. Very active dog. Getting old now

When the vet sent a picture of Calvin with the caption "come get your dog" I told her no. I live in a small condo and work all the time so didn't think a border collie was doable.
Thankfully she insisted because she knew how laid back he was. Perfect dog for my lifestyle and he really enjoys when I take him to the barn or horse shows.
Otherwise, he thinks he's a lap dog.
