I've never heard 3 times. And he never said that he got lost. He said that he got to the border, because you can't turn around because of the concrete barriers which is fact, and told the truth and asked them to let him go back.

3 Times at same crossingWhen you double-down on breaking the law with lying to officials, you aren't helping your cause. Yes, torture is bad, and I'd be willing to be there is another side to that story, too.
