In fact there is not a chance in Hell that given a reversal of situations, we'd have addressed it this way.

Are you serious? Because the one's who came across in their helicopter and fired on our Border Patrol officers weren't arrested.

Evidently, this did happen this year on the 5th of June. Four Mexican soldiers crossed the border in pursuit of wounded suspects and "inadvertently" ended up in the U.S.
They were detained and released after 2 days.
