Think he's saying it was lucky the cross even reached him having two defenders between the target. Went between one guys legs, then the other defender was less than a foot way from intercepting.

These Algerians need shorter names

Germany's passing is fricking gorgeous.

so the first qualifier out of group G which have played all their matches in the north of the country just happen to have their first knock out game in the most heavily german part of the country, far to the south? LOL

Germany/France should be a pleasure to watch

Well-rounded keepers are hard to find, and once you get one it's so obvious that every other outfield player gives a little bit extra when they have a guy back there who isn't afraid of throwing himself into anything.

I would have thought so prior to today. Germany looked very vulnerable today and against Ghana. France looked like crap against Ecuador, and nothing special today against Nigeria. Neither are playing lights out at the moment.

So is the board just rooting for the underdog? I feel no need to root for Algeria. Kinda rooting for group G at this point.

I dont care. Other than the fact I find the German uniforms quintessential German fashion from the 90s, I would not be offended should they win.

Algeria has 15 minutes to put something together. This first half of OT they have looked utterly gassed.

I'm rooting for the stronger teams on paper to lose.. i.e. Germany..

So, the tournament can't figure out how to give teams fairly equal days of rest?
