Jesus Himself said that His Kingdom was not of this Earth. He was apolitical then, he'd be apolitical now.
Agreed. I would assume that a modern Jesus would spend far more time preaching to the hypocrites of the Christian faiths than he would debating fiscal policy or economic systems. That's not Jesus's job. Why would he concern himself with such worldly issues when there are people in need of salvation, people who need to see that Christianity isn't just a bunch of hypocrite televangelists. It would be very interesting to here what Jesus would say and who he would be talking to if he were to visit us in this era.
