This is a dumb thread and its almost guaranteed to appear at least three times a year.
Jesus did not speak to social issues. Jesus did not speak out against slavery although it was prevalent during his time.
When Jesus said "give to the poor" he didn't say because of his concern for the poor. He was more concerned with the immortal soul of the giver.
There is nothing in the gospels that suggest Jesus would have been a liberal in 2014.

Considering that religious law basically governed social issues back then, he did speak to those issues.
And it's important to note that slavery back then was radically different than the slavery of say the early United States.
