All I'm saying is that IMO I don't think that specific play should by rule be a foul.

I finally got to see the replay, and that was a foul. I read a lot of stories and back and forth, but Mexico has no argument. Send them home.

I'm hoping what constitutes a "foul" will be observed and altered. That way the type of behavior by the guy we saw from the Dutch player will be punished and not applauded.

I don't think anyone is applauding the foul. We're applauding that the correct call was made, and that the outcome of the game was just.

We should totally get rid of that stupid off sides rule, and while were at it, why can't everyone just use their hands? The game would be better if they could just pick it up and run with the ball.

I can understand why you wouldn't think it was a foul, as the contact seems minimal, especially since the corresponding embellishment had plenty of theatrics, which might overshadow the seemingly innocuous foul.
The fact remains that even in the loosest interpretation of the rules it was a foul, and an exceedingly stupid challenge to make considering the situation.

I think many not familiar with the game think of a foul only as very obvious body to body contact ala basketball.

Refs need to start doing their job and show a card for diving.
If Robben was carded in the first half for the numerous dives then I think it is unlikely we see him go down as hard as he did.
