Your personal observations mirror, almost word for word, what 95% of the analysis say. Asik is a "grab the ball" sort of player. We don't need a scoring Center...we have $56M tied up on guys who get paid to do that.

Right. He'll get 10-12 points a game on put-back dunks and lay-ups off of rebounds and dump offs, free throws, and lay-ups from trailing on the fast break. Basically just clean-up duty.
But all that is gravy. He makes his money doing the dirty work of being a big physical inside presence on the defensive end and owning the glass.
