I was 3 years behind Will at Jesuit, and he always made time for the younger players, which was more than I can say for the other seniors on the team. He's been nothing but nice to me over the years. I think his cockiness made him the type of player he was. I certainly can't dispute the stories about him, but he does have it in him to be likable.

He was actually really nice & personable at a baseball clinic that I attended when I was about 14. It was on a weekend at the old Alex Box, circa '92. He was my favorite player, and I went to the 1B drill session, despite the fact that I was a catcher. I just wanted to be coached by Will the Thirll for a few minutes. That being said, most MLB players are jerks, so I have little trouble believing some of the stories I've read about him.
