Bith are good. Neither one is better than the other. Do you want full power reverse or instant reverse? Answer that question and then take that motor.

Between the 2, I'd probably go PD based on the simpler reserve system. But they're both awesome machines.

My cousin had a pro drive for a few years, and I wasn't totally impressed with it.
He didn't have the auto reverse, he had to ratchet the lower unit around manually.
His power trim went out a couple times, and the mufflers rusted away pretty quick.

What kind of boat are you trying to push? You can get something smaller and cheaper with fewer parts to break if you're not trying to push a huge load.
